South Carolina Tax Lien Certificates
South Carolina is a good tax lien certificate sale state with interest rates ranging from 8 to 12% per year.
The redemption period is from one year to 18 months, and most sales take place in the months of October and November.
Lien auctions and sales are conducted on a competitive bid basis, and the buyer risks being fined up to $300 if they don’t pay by the end of the day.
South Carolina could be considered a good tax lien sale state because of the short redemption period and the possibility of a 12% interest rate during the second year.
